Easter and spring flowers will decorate our Sanctuary for Easter! Flowers may be purchased in memory of and/or in honor of your loved ones. The flowers will be displayed on the chancel on Easter Sunday and may be picked up after the 2nd service on Easter Sunday (12:30pm).

The Advent Season is Almost Over

As the Holiday season is ending it is also time to take down the Holiday decorations. We need to take down and pack the decorations in boxes and bins, and then take up to the storage area on the 2nd floor. All ages are welcome, the storage bins will be down from upstairs and placed in the Gathering place or distributed to the appropriate area.

It's Christmas cookie time! Our annual Missions Cookie Sale will be held on Sunday, December 15th both before and after the service. All proceeds will benefit Sustainable Action International in La Victoire, Haiti.

We would like different groups (Jam, Youth, UW of Faith, Green Team, 4x8 Dinner Groups, Reaching Out Circle, Men's Group, Bible Study Group, Music Circle, Grief Support, Sisters, Reconciling Ministry, or whatever other group) to have an option to choose an area to decorate. Gathering Place, Sanctuary, Loge, Big Xmas Tree for the chancel, Fellowship Hall, The Rock, Chapel, Church Office.

Trunk or Treat is back! You're invited to wear your Halloween costume to church, invite friends, decorate a trunk, collect candy, play some games, and win prizes! Donuts, Cider/Juice, and Coffee will be outside, too! Let's work together to get 20 awesome and diverse trunks lined up. Look for our table in the Gathering Place on October 6th and 13th.

90 Cards for Steve Berry's 90 Years!

Help us celebrate the 90th birthday of Steve Berry, longtime member of FUMCAH. We are hoping to organize the delivery of 90 birthday cards from longtime friends, former colleagues, and all who cherish him. He currently spends half his time in Arizona and half his time in Galena and is doing very well, but he'd love to read a note about how you are doing, what is new and exciting, a memory you have, or a simple birthday greeting.

A collection box is on the porch of his former residence, 2009 E Fremont Ct. We are hoping to collect 90 cards by the morning of October 2 (his birthday) to hand deliver when we see him that evening. Help us make this a birthday he will remember and hold dear!

BSA Troop 132's annual Holiday wreath fundraiser is in full swing! Please stop by our display table during coffee hour on Sunday 10/13, 10/20, or 10/27 to place an order in person, and hear from Andrew about some of his exciting Scouting adventures during the past year which our generous congregation helped to make possible. NEW this year: now offering coffee and hot cocoa mix! (Please see attached brochure)
