Our progress flag flies in front of the church, a visible sign of our inclusive spirit.
But there’s a problem.
Most of our Northwest Suburban community have never seen our flag, and probably never will. Why does this matter? In our neighborhoods there are people in need of spiritual community like ours (which is pretty special) but they don’t drive down Euclid Ave.
Pastor Brittany and our team are working on something special to reach people looking for God in the northwest suburbs. It’s a campaign called “can we hear you now”.
Can We Hear You Now is a simple campaign. It’s just FUMCAH members sharing a post on social media (an image of the post is below). The post will invite your friends to fumcah.com/listening where they can share their thoughts to help us learn how to serve the community better. Think of it as a listening session, but for the neighborhood.
On November 17th at our welcome service Brittany and I will be officially installed as pastors. On that Sunday we will address the comments people give us through the campaign who are invited to attend the service too.
What if a person looking for God is a friend of yours on Facebook? You sharing a post might be the thing that starts a conversation or plants a seed. And if you’re not on social media, maybe chat with a friend you know who could use the community of FUMCAH!
Thanks for considering joining us in this experiment to boldly love our community.
Here are the links to our social media accounts where you can share the post; use whichever platfrom you like most:
Blessings and peace,
David
