MLK Day of Service
We had over 100 participants from our nursery school, AbbVie Pharmaceuticals, Walmart, other folks from our community, and of course, many wonderful FUMCAH members. We made more than 100 sack lunches for The Night Ministry, 36 Linus blankets for hospitalized children, 100 Hygiene kits for UMCOR, 60 Blessing bags for the homeless, 41 cards for elderly shut-ins and 87 placemats for The Moorings Senior Living residents, hundreds of dog biscuits for the shelter, and a beautiful, (nearly finished) zentangle "Love Boldly, because a better world is possible" 8' banner. Special thanks to all our dedicated volunteers that set-up, supervised activities, and cleaned up after our MLK Service Day to ensure that things went smoothly. We appreciate you all helping to make this a fun and productive day of service!
