New and Improved Assistive Listening System
We have been working on improvements to the Assistive Listening System (ALS) in the Sanctuary, and are thrilled to reveal the updates!
We have added a LISTEN Everywhere Wi-Fi Audio Server. This means that anyone with a smartphone can have the sound of the Sanctuary connect directly to their Bluetooth hearing aids, Air Pods, or similar listening devices.
The RF ALS system (radio frequency) that we have been using for the last decade+ now also receives the improved Speech Priority sound mix. We have four receivers available, several headphone/ear sets, and two neck loop adapters to interface with T-Coil hearing aids.
To use the RF ALS, ask an Usher for a receiver before the service. To use LISTEN Everywhere, follow these detailed instructions to install the app and connect to the server: Listen-Everywhere-App-User-Manual. If you’re unsure of the technical aspects, ask an Usher or member of the Worship Tech Team for help.
This update was made possible by a generous gift from our memorial funds. Thank you!
* Speech Priority is a custom audio mix that features louder speech and singing, and quieter instruments and ambience. This helps with intelligibility and improves the accuracy of transcription apps.
