Palm Sunday Parade and Witness

  • First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights 1903 East Euclid Avenue Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 United States (map)

Jesus’ entrance to Jerusalem a few days before he died may have been the first justice march by his followers. This Palm Sunday, March 28, at 4:00pm, we’ll have a special Palm Sunday Parade. We will walk, waving palm branches, from the church’s west parking lot down Euclid to Dryden, and return to the church on the other side of Euclid. And if you'd rather not walk, we will also have people standing/sitting along Euclid in front of the church. We will have signs that say “Freedom from _____” on one side and “Freedom for _____” on the other, for you to complete with your own message. Suggested signs include “Freedom from Hate,” “Freedom from Racism,” “Freedom from Greed,” “Freedom for Peace,” “Freedom for Service,” and “Freedom for Love.”

Please contact Pastor Melissa with any questions.
