“Fur, Feather & Scales” – stories about animals (and the ridiculous humans they have to deal with!)

  • First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights 1903 East Euclid Avenue Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 United States (map)

Fur, Feather & Scales
Friday, July 23, 6:00-8:00pm (grounds open at 5:00pm)
If you joined us in June, you know what fun our storytelling series is. If you missed it, no worries: First Person Live returns on Friday, July 23! Like the popular Moth StorySLAM, this is regular people telling true stories from their lives. In fact, the show is produced and hosted by 3-time Moth StorySLAM winner Diane Kastiel, an Arlington Heights resident, who shares FUMCAH’s belief in the power of stories to build community.

Each show has a different theme and a new group of tellers. For July, it’s “Fur, Feathers & Scales” - stories about animals (and the ridiculous people they have to put up with!). This month, stories about terrorist lizards, heroic horses, neurotic mice, amorous giraffes, spiteful cats, and waaaay too trusting Flemish Giants (Google that one).

The show will be held in the church’s garden, but will move indoors in case of inclement weather. All shows will adhere to CDC and FUMCAH safety guidelines. Tickets and more info are at firstpersonlive.com.

BYO blanket, chairs, food, & drink – just no alcohol please.
