Have you ever wondered just what ASP is really like? Were you disappointed that ASP 2020 didn't happen? Would you enjoy working on a mission project right here in Arlington Heights? If you are a youth (entering grades 7-12) or an adult who enjoys working with youth, come to the "Taste of ASP" - ASP@Home right here at FUMCAH on Saturday, August 7! There will be two sessions. The morning session (10:00am-11:30am) will be a time for fun, fellowship, learning about Appalachia, and the need for warmer, safer, drier homes; learning how you can help ASP work to fulfill that need. The afternoon session will be a construction project lead by experienced adults. You will be part of a work crew - just like at ASP! - and get real hands-on experience. If you participate in both sessions, lunch is included. All you need to bring is a pair of work gloves and a water bottle. There is no charge to participate. Participating does not commit you to participating in ASP 2022. This is an opportunity for fun, fellowship, and service and to get a "Taste of ASP” - ASP@Home!
