Brittany Isaac (she/her) | Lead Pastor

Pastor Brittany has a passion for connecting people into community where they can laugh, find comfort, discover purpose, and find themselves in the larger story of God. She believes the purpose of the church is to help people grow in likeness to Jesus, which in turn calls us out into the world to participate in the building of God’s dream. She believes the church has a particular role to play in our divided world, that offers the hopeful possibility of healing and reconciliation.

A former eighth grade Special Education teacher and Starbucks Store manager, Brittany gave up her green apron, (but not her coffee habit) to plant the third site located of Urban Village Church in Edgewater. Most recently Pastor Brittany served as the District Superintendent for the Lake North District, shepherding the ministry of approximately 70 pastors and congregations. In this role she focused on leadership development, strategic planning, and encouraging churches to try new things.

A teacher, a barista, a pastor—in every job she has had Brittany sees her work as investing in people. Joys in Brittany’s life include gardening, puzzles, and her 12-year old daughter, Ruby.
