High School Movie Night

We had an awesome turn out (10 youth + 4 adults) at our High School Movie Night this past Saturday, July 24! We chilled outdoors on the back patio with snacks while we viewed Stowaway, the movie from 2021, starring Anna Kendrick & Daniel Dae Kim. The movie explores the moral dilemma of an astronaut crew when they realize that their ship isn't adequately prepared to support the life of all the people on board. Are people only worth their usefulness? How does a leader navigate a decision with no win-win solutions? Is the "price of progress" narrative worth anything? These were the questions we pondered together as the movie concluded, and the discussion was rich! "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." - John 15:13
