Family Update

The weather was a little bit cooler this Saturday when we visited Nasu Marie and her family. We were surprised to discover that almost the whole family was wearing their winter coats inside their apartment because of the change in the weather! We could see that the kids have grown and the coats that the youngest kids received in the spring are not going to fit for the entire winter. Also during our visit, we learned that the family is not familiar with either Halloween or Thanksgiving. They laughed when we tried to describe trick-or-treating to them. So, we compiled a list of things that we would like to collect for them to have a fun, educational and warm fall and winter season. The list includes books, costumes, snow pants plus a traditional Thanksgiving meal that we will deliver to them on Thanksgiving day. If you would like to donate, please take a look at the SignUpGenius for more information. Finally, I hope you can attend or watch the church service on Sunday, October 2, so you can hear about our August trip to the Shedd Aquarium. They LOVED it!
