Kaleidoscope - Mary Kay Baldino and Stuart Reid

  • First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights 1903 East Euclid Avenue Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 United States (map)

In Kingdom Dreams: Violent Realities, a 2016 UMC Bible study published by the General Board of Church and Society, the study’s authors recommend that “congregations…advocate at the local and national level for laws that prevent or reduce gun violence” (43). Two of our church members, Mary Kay Baldino and Stuart Reid, have heard the call for gun justice advocacy. For many years, they have been working with community groups to provide a safer and more just world as they organize, educate, and advocate for firearm justice.

On Sunday, March 19, please join Mary Kay and Stuart at Kaleidoscope after worship to hear about their organizations and goals for advocacy in 2023.

Be sure to read “Working for Justice” in the Spring 2023 issue of Faith Leads. Robin Paul interviews Mary Kay and Stuart about their work and efforts in this area.

Sponsored by United Women of Faith and Faith in Action.
