Summer 2024 Youth Mission Trip – Appalachia Service Project

  • Are you in 8th grade or in high school?

  • Are you the parent of an 8th grader or high school student?

  • Are you a 6th or 7th grader (or the parent of one)?

  • Do you think you or your child would enjoy a mission trip where volunteers help make homes for low-income families warmer, safer, and drier through transformational service?

Then ASP, FUMCAH’s biennial high school youth mission trip, is for you! For over 40 years FUMCAH has sent teams to ASP. These volunteers, many who have served multiple years, have experienced the transformation of their lives and those whom they have served.

  • Are you an adult who enjoys working with high school kids or thinks you might?

  • Are you someone who has purchased gift cards or bought freshly baked bread to support Youth Missions and wondered what exactly do the kids do at ASP?

Then come to the Kaleidoscope on the Appalachia Service Project – Sunday, November 5 at 10:45am in the Wesley Room! Karen Labbe, ASP alum and the ASP Trip Coordinator, will share some background of the Appalachia Service Project and give you a glimpse into the mission of ASP, the kind of work that is done, a typical daily schedule, and the weekly programming of this relationship ministry that repairs homes and transforms lives.

ASP alums: you are welcome to join us and help answer questions or offer insights.
