PADS FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED

PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) is a community program to shelter and feed our homeless neighbors. Our church has been a Monday night site for over fifteen years and is completely supported through volunteers. As we start the second half of our PADS season, we will be asking for church members to prepare meals, donate food (our guests are fed dinner and breakfast, and take a lunch with them), and fill in a few positions to work on Monday nights. We will have our sign-up sheets in the loggia on January 6 and January 20. Your help is needed, so please stop by to see how you can help....

We need Your stories for our Lenten Devotional Book

The Adult Education Commission wants YOU to help create a keepsake of our 175th anniversary year as well as a spiritual treasure for this year’s Lenten season.  We need persons of all ages to submit a brief devotion (300 words or less) for the Lent 2013 devotional booklet.  Submissions can be emailed to Lynn Mikels (l.mikels@fumcah.com) or dropped off at the Church Office.  You might share a favorite church memory (from FUMCAH or somewhere else) or respond to one of these prompts:  Where have you experienced God’s love?  What does it mean to be a courageous Christian?  or What is...

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels – Volunteers Needed Throughout November Our church has agreed to provide volunteers for Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors and people with disabilities 18 years of age or older. Dates are Thursday, November 1, through Friday, November 30. Meals are picked up at Lutheran Home and delivered between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
