The First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights Celebrates its 175th year of service in 2013. That makes FUMCAH the third oldest, continuous existing institution in the Northeast region of Illinois, after Chicago and Cook County. The staff parish committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Ouk-Yean Kim Jueng as our Lead Pastor. A gifted speaker and administrator, Rev. Ouk-Yean Kim Jueng is an ordained Elder in full connection with the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. She moved to Evanston, Illinois from South Korea in 1989 with her two children. There she joined her husband, who had arrived 6 months earlier to pursue his doctorate studies in pastoral counseling.
