What We Do

We offer the following Sacred Services:

Baptisms

We give thanks to God for the gift of life, and we rejoice with you, the parents, in the birth or adoption of your child. Baptism conveys God’s grace and love to your child now and forever. You promise to immerse your child in the Good News of Christ and the church promises to nurture your child in the faith. Make an appointment with a pastor for a baptismal conference.

In the United Methodist Church we practice baptism at any age, infants, children and adults. Children 10 years of age and older will meet with our Minister of Education for baptismal preparation. Adults work with any of our pastors to explore baptism and prepare for church membership.

Confirmation

Classes are provided for adolescents for 7th & 8th grade or beyond. See our YOUTH section for more information.

Weddings

The covenant of marriage is a sacred step, a commitment of love meant to last a life time. We rejoice when asked to celebrate your love with you. We have three venues in which to celebrate; our 450 seat air-conditioned sanctuary, an intimate 35 seat chapel, and the landscaped Rose Garden on our campus. Any of our three clergy are available as arranged. Call the church office for our Wedding Planning Packet in which you’ll find guidelines and fees.

Funerals or Memorial Services

On behalf of the congregation and staff of our church, we offer you our condolences on the loss of your loved one.

The church building and pastors are available to supporting members of the congregation without charge. Our pastors will be glad to work with non-members at area funeral homes. Be certain to call or have your funeral director call to schedule pastoral services before placing an obituary. We will make every effort to meet your needs, however, some conflicts may be unavoidable.

A pastor will arrange a 90-minute meeting with surviving spouse, or life companion, and children or other family members, to plan a celebration of the deceased’s life.

Resurrection Garden, on our church campus is available to members for the burial of cremains. The Business Manager can arrange for the purchase of these plots and markers,

Pre-Planning: The church encourages individuals to plan a celebration of their own life while they are healthy and able to engage reflectively. Call the church office for an appointment.

House Blessing

A new home is a great opportunity to gather your friends and family and ask God’s blessing on all who live and visit there. Inviting God’s blessing is a great witness to others of your intent to be a home that honors God and a place of hospitality and welcome! Call a Pastor for assistance.
