Trinity Sunday, Baccalaureate Sunday, and Missionary Visit
Pomp and Circumstance. Caps and gowns. A piece of paper and the shake of a hand. Fewdays evoke the kind of pride and sense of accomplishment graduation day brings. After years ofhard work, an educational journey has come to completion. The dedication, the hours of studying, and the piles of homework have all paid off. And on graduation day we celebrate a tremendous achievement.
Of course graduation day is not an ending. It is a day of celebration that opens new doors into the future. I have come to think that our joy for these events is equal parts celebrating what has been done and looking forward to an unknown but exciting future.
This church should be proud of its graduates. These young men and women who have been a part of your life and ministry have accomplished something quite special. Come Sunday morning, honor their accomplishment, and anticipate the great things to come in the future. Please join us for Baccalaureate Sunday.
We’ll mark the Holy Complexity of God, the accomplishments of our young people, and hear of the expansive reach of our missions in Zambia.
Attention, high school grads! Please wear your caps and gowns to church on Baccalaureate Sunday, June 3rd. Meet at 9:00am in the Parlor to prepare for the procession.
